- - 1 year or experience in any of the following IT roles: Computer Hardware Repair, Infrastructure Cabling, Network Deployment, Data Center Operations, Technical Project Management
AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running. Key job responsibilities • Managing work and priorities through ticketing system and workflows to complete customer requests and projects • Collaborating with various stakeholders to remove project obstacles • Troubleshooting networking, routing and interconnectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords • Specifying Power and Cooling requirements and ensuring Hardware Racking/Stacking completed for new equipment • Participating in the migration, basic configuration and rollout of new or upgraded hardware Traveling within and outside of regional work area is required. You will be responsible for having a reliable personal vehicle and valid driver's license to travel within the regional work area, as company transportation will not be provided. - • Data center experience Industry standard certifications (CompTIA, CCENT, Network ,)
- • Knowledge of network cabling, optic types, and test equipment
- • Experience with common tools related to network troubleshooting, including VFLs, OTDR and power meters
- • Understanding of infrastructure technologies, including Routers, Switches, Load Balancers and Firewalls
- • Knowledge of major Command Line Protocols (Cisco IOS, JunOS, GNU/Linux) and common Networking Protocols (BGP, OSPF)
