This role provides the opportunity to lead and manage the innovative team of mechanical engineering builders developing and deploying the next generation of liquid cooling infrastructure for our data centers. AWS is seeking an Engineering Manager for our team developing new infrastructure solutions that enable at-scale deployment of the latest liquid-cooled racks into our data centers. We are looking for a manager with excellent people skills and prior liquid cooling product development experience. This role will work closely with both AWS builders and third-party manufacturers to develop infrastructure solutions on our behalf. If you have experience leading product design of mechanical products, have an extensive understanding of liquid cooling solutions in data centers, and know how products should be manufactured to ensure quality, you may be a good fit. This role requires the ability to lead a team in developing detailed mechanical equipment specifications and evaluating the merit and risks of design changes. As Amazon has a global presence, intermittent travel will be necessary and should be expected to be approximately 30% to AWS offices, data centers, suppliers, vendors, and product validation tests. While most travel will be domestic, some international travel may be required. - Masters or PhD in Mechanical Engineering.
