Job Description:
We are hiring Delivery Helpers (DH)! As a Delivery Helper, you will play a vital role in our operations, especially during rush conditions. As a Driver Helper, you will ride along in an Amazon-branded, DOT-regulated box truck and support the driver in delivering packages. Your responsibilities include:
*Responsibilities:*
- Insightful Transit seeking motivated team players to join our delivery team as Driver Helpers. You’ll partner with our drivers to efficiently deliver Amazon packages to customers in your community. No experience is required, and we offer on-the-job training and opportunities for career growth.
- Loading and unloading packages (up to 300-400 packages per day)
- Handling large and bulky items using proper equipment (team lift required for weights up to 50lbs)
- Interacting with customers and the public in a professional and positive manner
- Working 2 or more days per week, up to 8-10 hours per day (including breaks)
Physical Demands: This position requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and standing.
Work Environment: The work environment is fast-paced and involves both indoor and outdoor conditions.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the U.S.
- Possess a valid Michigan driver's license.
- Comfortable driving and working in varying weather conditions.
- Physical ability to handle the demands of the role, including frequent vehicle entry and exit, and stair climbing.
