Delivery Associates:
Delpack Logistics, an Amazon Delivery Service Partner, relies on our Delivery Associates ("DAs") as the heart of our operation. DAs are responsible for safely delivering packages door-to-door to a variety of locations, such as homes, mobile parks, apartments, and businesses within set timeframes. Responsibilities
· Always operate delivery vehicle safely and responsibly
· Conduct pre- and post-shift inspections on company vehicle to ensure safety standards are met
· Adhere to all local/state laws and company policies while driving and carrying out assigned routes
· Efficiently record, organize, and load packages to expedite door-to-door delivery
· Ensure timely delivery by placing packages in correct drop-off locations
· Utilize smartphone device adeptly for navigational purposes, package scanning, customer information reviews, and communication
· Support colleagues as needed, including assisting in rescue calls when necessary
· Prioritize customer satisfaction and safety through dedication and hard work
Skills
- Dependability and punctuality are crucial
- Effectively communicate with managers at least 48 hours ahead if unable to cover a scheduled shift
- Use excellent communication skills to function effectively as a team member.
- The ideal candidate should have the ability to drive and work in fluctuating weather conditions. Additionally, they should possess physical strength to lift parcels weighing up to 50 lbs, although the majority are lighter. The candidate should also be able to enter and exit the van, and use stairs without difficulty.
- They must be authorized to work in the United States and have a valid driver's license, with a minimum of one-year driving experience.
- Prior work-related or commercial driving experience is not mandatory but will be beneficial.
