Key job responsibilities The Kuiper team is looking for a global category sourcing leader to support business and engineering stakeholders in selecting, developing and managing business relationships with critical technology and service suppliers, and others as needed to execute on Kuiper objectives. The ideal candidate will have a successful track record developing and executing strategy, negotiating master agreements and statements of work, and managing supplier performance. Experience working in new and ambiguous environments while solving complex problems with a broad range of cross functional stakeholders will be an advantage. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $71,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $153,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. - Be comfortable with ambiguity and curious to learn new skills
- Technical acumen in global infrastructure design/development/deployment lifecycle with ability to connect to related business matters such as cost, SLA and quality
- Experience in supplier evaluation/selection, should-cost models, negotiate MVA, NRE, and CAPEX/OPEX to ensure best-in-class cost for our infrastructure
