Manufacturing Production Technician, Kuiper Propulsion

DESCRIPTION

Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Project Kuiper will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.

This position will be responsible for assembling the mechanical / electrical components of the propulsion system for the satellite in a cleanroom and ESD control environment.

• Support process work and review output for quality and adherence to standards and procedures
• Participate in daily team meetings, end-of-shift reporting, and coordinating efforts to minimize production interruptions.
• Support safety standards and operations protocol while ensuring team compliance.

Export Control Requirement :

Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Candidates must be 18 years or older with the ability to understand and adhere to all job requirements and safety guidelines.

The starting pay for this role in Washington State is up to $37 / hour and employees are eligible for incremental raises based on tenure. A day in the life

The Technician will assemble the propulsion system and help to identify process improvements to improve build efficiency. You will work closely with multiple engineering teams on production hardware and manufacturing processes. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $70,720 / year in our lowest geographic market up to $76,960 / year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
