Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mechatronics & Robotics Technician to join our team at Amazon Stores. As a key member of our Operations Maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our material handling equipment and pneumatic systems.
About the Role
In this dynamic position, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing automated packaging and distribution equipment, as well as mentoring junior technicians to help them grow in their roles.
You will work closely with our Reliability & Maintenance Engineering (RME) team to drive continuous improvement and ensure that all robotics and material handling equipment is properly maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment
- Mentor junior technicians to develop their skills
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to material handling equipment
- Maintain a positive working relationship across all Amazon Operations facilities
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- 1 years of experience with Microsoft Office products and applications
- Able to work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
- 2 years of experience conducting quality predictive and preventative maintenance procedures
- 2 years of experience in the repair of material handling equipment (MHE), automated conveyor systems, or related mechanical/controls equipment
- Blueprint and electrical schematic reading knowledge
