Description

AWS Compliance & Security Assurance is looking for an experienced Program Manager (PM) to support our Global Product Compliance (GTPC) team business on a broad range of regulatory compliance matters. You will interact with AWS Security, Datacenter Engineering, AWS Services, Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, Legal, Tax, and other internal businesses and external stakeholders to drive regulatory compliance initiatives. AWS is at the forefront of providing a broad set of global cloud-based services including compute, storage, databases, networking, analytics, deep Machine learning, robotics, and enterprise applications, to help organizations move faster, lower IT costs, and scale.

GTPC is responsible for ensuring that the infrastructure equipment necessary to support the AWS services are imported/exported in a compliant manner across the multiple countries where AWS operates and will expand.

Key job responsibilities

  • Key competencies of this position include deeply understanding the end-to-end regulatory compliance program services and owning their successful delivery through others.
  • Drives project execution, standardization and process improvement.
  • Supports program initiative goals by delivering projects of varying complexity.
  • Manage daily tasks related to providing compliance to support Regulatory Compliance activities, including conducting research, updating status reports, and coordinating team deliverables.
  • Develop and present project plans that outline timelines, stakeholder responsibilities, key milestones, resources, and budget.
  • Identify and remove blockers that prevent the team from accomplishing goals.
  • Work cross-functionally to develop and manage project/deliverable reporting to stakeholders
  • Write and execute communication (Policies, Procedures, Instructions) to internal and external stakeholders
  • Build communications and training plans to ensure all internal and external partners are aware and aligned to compliance processes
  • Proactively identify and drive process improvement initiatives
  • Generate and contribute to performance requirements, timelines, and metrics for all related activities
  • Interface with internal and external functional partners to identify and rectify any information/process gaps

About The Team

This position reports to the Manager, Regulatory Compliance Strategy and Operations within Global Product Compliance ('GTPC') function. GTPC is responsible for providing global trade and product compliance of infrastructure equipment and AWS product programs necessary to support AWS services, across countries where AWS currently operates and/or expect to expand.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3 years of program or project management experience
  • 3 years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
  • Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL; Smartsheets: Agile and other common project and program management tools.
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
  • Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3 years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
  • 3 years of driving process improvements experience
  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
  • Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $91,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $196,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
