Amazon QuickSight is a scalable, serverless, embeddable, machine learning-powered business intelligence (BI) service built for the cloud.
Amazon QuickSight lets you easily create and publish interactive BI dashboards as well as pixel perfect reports. QuickSight dashboards and reports can be accessed from any device, and seamlessly embedded into your applications, portals, and websites.
Key Responsibilities As a Seasoned SDEII
SDEs will be responsible to design and implement critical parts. They are expected to mentor junior SDEs, break down designs into granular tasks and estimate them, and get alignments with Sr. Staff SDEs and Principal Engineers, via well-written design and decision documents.
Utility Computing (UC)
AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations — from foundational services such as Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWS’s services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization, you’ll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (Iot), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.

Amazon QuickSight only recently started it's journey and has lot of autonomy in delivering the future of serverless reporting. You’ll have the opportunity to influence decisions related to system architecture, feature development and product strategy. You will be building complex distributed systems with AWS Serverless and Micro-Service Architecture.
The team is based out of SEA, so you will whiteboard ideas with Sr. SDEs, and come up with proof-of-concepts to showcase what is possible.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Basic Qualifications
- 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2 years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 3 years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
