The AWS customer-facing security services team is looking for passionate and innovative engineers to join to help build our next generation of AWS security service platforms. Our team builds security products that help ensure customers use AWS services in the most secure environment possible. We need a strong candidate to help us build new features and functionality with a strong focus on security and operational excellence. This position involves working on complex software systems in a customer-centric environment that provide customers a single workflow to measure and assess workload security threats, risks and compliance posture across multiple cloud environments. Our ideal candidate is someone who has deep experience building security products with exposure to multiple public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure and GCP. A successful candidate in this role is not only passionate about building functioning software but also about ensuring that the same software achieves its goals in operational reality. We are looking for candidates who have strong ownership and desire to work on cutting edge, complex computer science problems, and the ability to simplify that complexity for our customers. Basic Qualifications
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Basic Qualifications
- 4 years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 3 years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- Experience in cyber-security domain, especially in design of architecting digital Identity solutions using IAM related protocols such as SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect
- Experience developing and deploying complex software services in multiple cloud environments including AWS, Azure, and GCP
- Experience programming with at least one modern software programming language such as Java, C , or C# including object-oriented design
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- 3 years of contributing to new and current systems architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) experience
- 4 years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
