Key Job Responsibilities
- Serve as a key member of the AWS FedHealth team, focusing on CMS-specific market and service enablement strategies.
- Define and execute a strategic market development plan aligned with AWS's direction and CMS's priorities.
- Identify and engage key CMS stakeholders and partners, including relevant ISVs and system integrators.
- Support healthy pipeline creation by engaging with key prospects within CMS.
- Understand CMS's technical requirements and work with internal teams to guide product offerings.
- Present business reviews to senior management regarding progress and challenges in expanding AWS's presence within CMS.
- Manage multiple high-priority engagements in the dynamic healthcare cloud computing market.
- 8 years of supporting Federal Health initiatives
- 5 years of full sales cycle, technology sales or equivalent business development, sales engineering/consulting or equivalent experience
- 5 years of relevant technical skills with the ability to dive deep on relevant technologies key to the industry.
- Experience working with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services
- 15 years of relevant work experience.
- CxO relationships and large network in the industry.
- Education: a medical degree is desired, and an advanced degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or measurement science such as statistics or epidemiology is preferred
- Demonstrated leadership skills are key, with proven verbal and written communications skills with demonstrated ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations, and lead through influence.
- The right person will be analytical and data-driven, and demonstrate balanced strategy and planning, and execution skills.
- Experience with advanced cloud technologies (data lakes, AI/ML, HPC, IoT)
- Experience with genomics and precision medicine workflows
- Experience with Health Information Exchange technology (HL7 FHIR)
- Working knowledge of software development practices and data center / infrastructure / networking / database systems / core distributed computing concepts / fundamentals of cloud computing and virtualization / storage systems / Analytics / emerging paradigms like IoT, Machine Learning, etc. is highly desired.
