Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a driven and focused senior community manager to lead global community program strategy and growth for student communities.
This role will sit within our AWS Developer Experience organization. Our goal is to win the hearts and minds of developers around the world by meeting them where they are and providing the right technical education, tools, and resources to enable developer success.
As Sr. Community Program Manager for student communities, you’ll own a global strategy for how we engage with students who are exploring technical degrees and seeking their first experiences with cloud computing. You’ll align internal stakeholders to a common vision for scaling on-campus student user groups (AWS Cloud Clubs), and you’ll identify ways to increase the volume of Clubs, and the impact of activities within each Club.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $112,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $186,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. - Identify key technology trends, and scope how these trends should influence thinking around student Cloud Club engagement strategy.
- Deliver a vision for how student user groups align to short term business goals while also driving mutual value and earning (long term) trust in student communities.
- Establish internal partnerships and mechanisms so stakeholders across multiple organizations can align to a common AWS Cloud Club growth strategy.
- Create mechanisms and maintain playbooks to ensure stakeholders can seamlessly support growth of AWS Cloud Clubs globally.
- Build and manage processes for analyzing and quantifying the impact (both short and long term) of student engagement via AWS Cloud Clubs. Work with stakeholders to build journeys for graduating students into relevant AWS programs/offerings.

- 6 years of professional non-internship marketing experience
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience presenting metrics and progress to goal to senior leadership
- Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
- Experience managing technical community programs on a global scale
