AWS AI / ML is on the lookout for exceptional scientists and engineers to enhance our capabilities in deploying reinforcement learning (RL) and machine learning (ML) methods for real-world applications. Our mission is to innovate and advance the state-of-the-art in RL / ML, addressing challenges related to training costs, sample efficiency, hyper-parameter sensitivity, and task transferability.
As a Senior Applied Scientist , you will be at the forefront of this effort. You will harness your profound knowledge of machine learning and reinforcement learning to create novel ML / RL systems and algorithms, collaborating closely with our engineering team to seamlessly integrate these solutions into various projects. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a burgeoning focus area for AWS alongside renowned engineers and esteemed scientists.

Qualifications
- 3 years of experience building machine learning models for business applications
- PhD, or Master's degree with 6 years of applied research experience
- Programming skills in Java, C , Python, or related languages
- Expertise in neural deep learning methods and machine learning

The compensation for this position varies based on location, with a base salary ranging from $150,400 to $260,000. Amazons compensation package includes additional forms of remuneration such as equity, sign-on payments, and a full range of benefits.
