**Amazon Web Services Solutions Architect Role for US Government Customers**
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Solutions Architect to support our US Government customers in the Northern Virginia & DC Metro area. If you enjoy helping U.S. Intelligence Community agencies implement innovative cloud computing solutions and solve technical problems, this could be the ideal role for you.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of large scale computing solutions and past experience working as a systems or support engineer, with pre-sales experience. They will be able to effectively communicate technical solutions to diverse stakeholders and define technical solutions to meet business objectives.
In this role, you will partner with customers, AWS Sales and other teams to craft highly scalable, flexible and resilient cloud architectures that address Intelligence Community customer business problems and accelerate the adoption of AWS services.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Formulate and execute a sales strategy to exceed revenue objectives through the adoption of AWS
- Ensure success in building and migrating applications, software and services on the AWS platform
- Educate customers on the value proposition of AWS and participate in deep architectural discussions
- Conduct training sessions to transfer knowledge to customers considering or already using AWS
- Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS solutions architect community
- Author content for AWS customer-facing publications
**Requirements:**
- 8 years of specific technology domain areas experience (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering)
- 6 years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 10 years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
- Experience architecting Cloud/Virtualization solutions in enterprise customers
- Understanding of Federal Government application, server, and network security requirements
