DESCRIPTION
We're on a mission to simplify Privacy for Amazon's builder community. Our systems are used by tens of thousands of Amazon builders and business teams to identify and address their privacy obligations.
This role will identify opportunities, research problems, and guide the creation of products that help automate that privacy work done by teams across the company. To do so, you will work very closely with our engineering and product teams, as well as other applied scientists and privacy specialists.
Key job responsibilities
- Gain an understanding of current business challenges and identify opportunities to use science-based approaches.
- Create experiments and prototypes to prove out hypotheses and identify investment opportunoties
- Support engineers in the creation of new and changed products that apply your ideas
- Measure and monitor model performance to ensure ongoing performance
- Document and share your findings with other scientists and business leaders.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3 years of building machine learning models for business application experience
- PhD, or Master's degree and 6 years of applied research experience
- Experience programming in Java, C , Python or related language
- Experience with neural deep learning methods and machine learning
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with modeling tools such as R, scikit-learn, Spark MLLib, MxNet, Tensorflow, numpy, scipy etc.
- Experience with large scale distributed systems such as Hadoop, Spark etc.
