DESCRIPTION
The mission of the Machine Learning University (MLU) is to train builders across Amazon in the theory and practical application of machine learning and generative AI in order to build a strong community of AI/ML practitioners. The team builds and teaches a comprehensive AI/ML curriculum, consisting of code-free and code-based courses in generative AI, core ML techniques and Deep Learning, and hosting Tech Talk series to drive awareness of innovative research across Amazon.
With the recent advances in generative AI, we are looking to hire an instructor with deep knowledge of generative AI technology, and with proven experience applying it to solve concrete problems. We recognize that this is a new and evolving field and we look forward to seeing what you have done!
A successful candidate will be a passionate teacher with demonstrated ability to explain technical content (in particular machine learning, or generative AI content) to an audience of technical professionals, enhance curriculum, and coordinate with other instructors. Significant practical experience across domains and techniques are required to ensure content is up-to-date, practical and engaging. This is a full-time role where you will constantly be challenged to learn and be curious about all the unknown advances still to come.

Key job responsibilities
- Develop and expand MLU's curriculum to incorporate recent advancements in Generative AI, creating high-quality educational resources tailored to meet the needs of Amazonians across various roles.
- Deliver MLU's courses through both remote instructor-led and in-person modalities, ensuring effective knowledge transfer.
- Collaborate within the instruction team to shape MLU's curriculum roadmap, identifying emerging areas of scientific progress in ML and Generative AI.
- Contribute to the team's scientific output by authoring technical and scientific publications.
- Continuously stay abreast of latest developments in ML and Generative AI, ensuring MLU's curriculum remains at the forefront of industry knowledge.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- PhD, or Master's degree and 4 years of CS, CE, ML or related field experience
- 3 years of building models for business application experience
- Experience programming in Java, C , Python or related language
- 2 years teaching technical topics to both technical and non-technical audiences
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience building Generative AI applications
- Experience working with instructional design best practices
