ABOUT THIS ROLE
The Associate Director, Product Strategy will be a member of the team that is tackling some of the most impactful and complex initiatives within our Product organization. This individual will partner closely with Product, Insights and Technology leaders to identify new growth opportunities and ‘dogs not barking’ in our organization, and come up with creative, product-driven solutions to solve them. You will work across both Creator and Consumer domains to shape our long-term strategy and product roadmap. You will dive deep with leaders across multiple product and cross-functional areas to define customer problems and deliver product-driven solutions. Successful candidates for this position will have strong problem solving, analytical, and communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority, along with a good understanding of product development/strategy and the digital media / tech landscape.

ABOUT YOU
You're a leader with a blend of strategy, product management and/or operations experience. Experience in the digital media industry is a bonus. You have the business acumen to understand and shape Audible’s company-wide strategy, while proactively identifying gaps and risks, and partnering with senior leaders to define creative solutions to solve them. You're a self-starter who is biased for action and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You're data-driven and adaptable, readily willing to abandon closely held-ideas in favor of stronger evidence.

You're an exceptional communicators with a knack for making complex data simple and evangelizing and inspiring people at all levels of the organization. As an Associate Director, Product Strategy, you will...
- Partner with product, design and technology leaders to source, prioritize and assess long-term business and innovation opportunities
- Provide thought leadership to influence cross-organization initiatives and the strategic direction of the Product and Insights organization
- Identify and articulate problems to be solved in service of improving the customer experience
- Collaborate with Insights, Data Science and Finance leaders to analyze existing data, define and fill data gaps, and calculate ROI and P&L impact for strategic product initiatives
- Work with product, design and technology partners to craft solutions with supporting narratives and roadmap recommendations
- Develop decisive, data-driven recommendations into presentation-ready deliverables for senior leaders
- Mentor team members across Product Strategy, Product Management and Insights, leading without direct authority to influence roadmap outcomes
- Facilitate decision making around tradeoffs and align senior product leaders on outcomes
- Identify how strategies translate to executional implications for teams of large scale

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- 6 years of experience with a combination of consulting, strategy, operations and/or product management roles
- Experience in writing
- Experience in cross-functional team collaboration and strategic alignment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 2 year in a media or tech organization
- Ability to influence without authority
- Ability to think creatively and prioritize a roadmap while building consensus and momentum
- Can provide information to technical and non-technical stakeholders alike and guide them to confidently informed decisions
- MBA
