The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Infrastructure Supply Chain and Procurement team is responsible for the end-to-end supply chain delivery of capacity to AWS Data Centers. AWS Infrastructure is looking for a talented, driven, and highly analytical, Program Manager with demonstrated experience driving process improvement.

Logistics analysis and program management will be the main scope of this role, working to optimize and accelerate the network with the ultimate goal to drive competitive advantage in the warehousing and transportation space to fuel the flywheel and delight our customers.

This job is ideally suited for a highly talented individual who is enthusiastic about customer obsession and has a passion for innovation and technology. Bias for action, logistics operational knowledge, think big and organization skills are a must.

You will play a key role in developing a unique position for AWS Cloud Logistics operations as the POC managing initiatives in the NALA region between AWS and the logistics providers we work with, as well as the AWS supply chain stakeholders utilizing our services.

Together with the Transportation and Warehousing teams, you will enable solutions, and challenge our service providers as well as internal customers. This will require a hands-on problem-solving mentality and a tenacity to execute solutions that will impact short term and long-term operations. You will take a helicopter view of the operations and work closely with functional teams to achieve best in class solutions.

Finally, you will be dealing with the challenges that come with continuous, rapid growth, looking to the future and implementing solutions before they are needed.

Key job responsibilities
• In conjunction with operational leaders, own and manage the operational setup for the systems, from network changes to optimization and process standardization.
• Compare locations or environmental policies of carriers or suppliers to make transportation decisions with lower environmental impact.
• Plan and implement supply chain optimization projects (e.g. warehouse-slotting, route planning)
• Develop requirements and standards for suppliers and customer
• Help foster trusting relationships with vendors and team members
• Evaluate vendor operations (e.g. logistics service providers) according to agreed quality standards
• Be the designated NALA point of contact for internal stakeholders and other transportation teams.
• Develop and maintain industry standard kpi's to track supply chain performance
• Interpret data on logistics elements, such as transport availability, utilised route to customer, reliability, supply chain management, inventory levels, supplier management - challenge the status quo.
• Confer with logistics management teams to determine ways to optimize service levels, maintain supply-chain efficiency, or minimize cost.
• Identify opportunities for inventory reductions and Identify opportunities to improve warehouse operational efficiency

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

7 years of product or program management experience. 10 years of working directly with engineering teams experience. 5 years experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Global logistics or supply chain experience is desirable
- Experience using data driven process improvement tools and metrics
- Experience engaging with regulators, and representing complex requirements for import and/or export activities preferred
- 3 years in analyzing business problems using different tools
- 2 years leveraging technology to drive process improvements
- Ability to prioritize activities with changing timelines

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
