Global Fleet and Products (GFP) team’s mission is to provide the vehicles and services that enable Amazon to delight customers through our last mile operations within Amazon Logistics (AMZL). GFP manages a global fleet of last mile vehicles including internal combustion engine vehicles, regulated vehicles and electric vehicles. Amazon is looking for an experienced Senior Business Development Manager responsible for commercial relationships with new and existing vendors; negotiations; and end to end contract development. This role focuses on long term contracting in the maintenance and repair, device, retrofits and tires space. The goal is to negotiate or re-negotiate contracts with national vendors to drive the uptime or vehicle health of our fleet. Including developing commercial strategies to utilize existing capabilities and relationships as well as guide the team through the transition to electric vehicles. This leader will influence strategies and products across the organization and lead commercial deals with high impact.
The ideal candidate will leverage their background in developing deal frameworks, requirements, and strategies as inputs to owning the end to end contract development. The candidate will lead deal development internally and externally at the executive level. Strong think big, deep dive, earns trust and delivers results are the key leadership principles for this role.
Travel up to 15%.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $213,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Key job responsibilities
- Work with fleet and vehicle services team to develop business requirements, contract frameworks, and lead request for proposals with existing and new vendors.
- Develop the financial view internally and externally around volumes, labor rates, service speed and other key requirements which will drive cost.
- Gain alignment internally on the financial spend v. next best alternatives as well as why the deal with achieve operations objectives.
- Develop long term deal framework and work with vendors to negotiate an agreed set of key terms.
- Build end to end contract and align approvals with legal, finance, operations teams, and Leadership.
- 5 years of professional or military experience
- Experience structuring and negotiating complex agreements and leading cross-functional groups to orchestrate and successfully complete deals
- Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software
- Experience influencing multiple stakeholders and leading cross functional teams across geographies and business units
- Experience working with technical and product stakeholders to define requirements, prioritize features, and influence product roadmaps
