DESCRIPTION
The Compensation team is seeking a delivery-oriented, strategic senior business operations program manager to join our global organization, specifically supporting the Compensation team for AWS, Advertising, Devices, and AGI. Reporting to the Director of AADA Global Compensation, this role will focus on strategic team operations, driving process improvements across the organization, identifying new opportunities for high impact delivery of services, and leading projects to provide optimized services to the lines of business we support.
This hands-on, global role will partner compensation consultants, analytics teams, recruiting, and human resources business partners. The ideal candidate will have a proven record of full-cycle project/program management, from conception and design through implementation, measurement, and continuous improvement. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, excellent writing skills, and a passion for communication are a must.
Key job responsibilities
• Owning and collaborating on Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews, Strategic Planning Session (SPS), and Press Release (PRFAQ) documents
• Create and manage work-back schedules associated with any of the strategic activities/initiatives
• Operate as the backbone for weekly Leadership Team staff meetings, including reporting of KPIs, goals, and organizational health. This also includes org-wide strategic planning such as OP1, 3YP, and goal setting documents.
• Lead the efforts to develop best in class change management strategies in support of cyclical programs and new initiatives.
• Redesign and own the procedures and knowledge management for AADA Compensation
• Assist with drafting and updating documents for executive-level review as well as presentations for org-wide meetings.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• 5 years experience in program or project management
• Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
• Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
• 5 years experience delivering cross functional projects
• 5 years experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
• 5 years relevant program/project management experience including financial accountability
• Lean Six Sigma certification and/or experience
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post-secondary degree in business, HR or related field
• Experience leading cross-functional projects with demonstrated ability to lead without authority to achieve results
• Ability to develop and implement operational processes and procedures across geographically distributed teams with demonstrated operational excellence outcomes
• Exceptional analytical skills, comfortable working with large amounts of data and communicating data findings, experience establishing and tracking program metrics including return on investment

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $113,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $187,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
