Amazon's Legal Department is looking for a talented attorney to support our Worldwide Operations (WW Ops) products and programs. You will join a stellar team of lawyers supporting our rapidly growing and evolving WW Ops businesses. You will be an integral part of the business teams you support, providing counsel on new products and services, regulatory compliance matters, commercial relationships, and pre-litigation disputes and inquiries. You will help business teams develop programs and tools to continually improve customer experience, while helping clients anticipate and address legal risk. You will develop strategies for handling legal issues in creative, business-centric ways and you will build processes that provide your clients with the flexibility and freedom to innovate and scale quickly. The successful candidate will be inquisitive, enthusiastic about technology, enjoy working hard and being continually challenged, and demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations. This position may be based in New York, NY, Seattle, WA or Washington, DC. As you will be working with teams who are developing products and technology that will be leveraged globally, some travel may be required.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $138,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $229,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Basic Qualifications
- 5 years of legal experience
- Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent
- Experience in transactional and technology licensing or equivalent
- Experience of a mix of corporate law firm and in-house work
