Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Project Kuiper will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.
We're looking for an outstanding Equipment Maintenance technician specializing in Preventative Maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment : Ovens, Thermal chambers, vacuum systems, process piping, liquid nitrogen and building systems.
Key job responsibilities
- Installing Industrial equipment and machinery
- Bring-up and Troubleshooting of equipment
- Maintaining and preventative maintenance activities
- Machine commissioning and trouble-shooting
- Maintain Facilities Workshop
- Support mechanical activities as required.
- Troubleshooting and Maintaining industrial equipment and machinery in production and development environments
- Installation of custom equipment and commissioning
- Work directly with engineering teams on design feedback, project execution and commissioning
- Maintain Facilities work area
- Support development and production teams as required at multiple locations / sites
Export Control Requirement :
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Candidates must be 18 years or older with the ability to understand and adhere to all job requirements and safety guidelines.
The starting pay for this role in Washington State is up to $37 / hour and employees are eligible for incremental raises based on tenure. A full range of medical, financial, and / or other benefits are provided. This information is provided per the Washington State Pay Transparency Act. Base pay information is based on market location. This position will work side by side with Engineering and Production teams to develop creative solutions to support and maintain production equipment.

Basic Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience with Thermal chambers, vacuum systems and refrigeration systems.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $68,640 / year in our lowest geographic market up to $83,200 / year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and / or other benefits.
