AWS Finance is seeking a Finance Manager to support pricing for the Elastic Cloud Compute (EC2) business.

As the Finance Manager for EC2 Pricing, you will work closely with product, engineering, and business leaders to evaluate pricing mechanisms, shape new product launches, and deliver data-driven insights to improve financial outcomes. You will play a key role in building scalable pricing models, enhancing our finance tooling, and driving long-term growth through analytical rigor and operational excellence.
The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, operates with a high degree of ownership, and is comfortable balancing strategic thinking with detailed financial modeling. You’ll need strong business judgment, a passion for automation and tools, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders across finance, product, and engineering. Key job responsibilities
Work on a critical business problem and help find the right solutions for our customers.
Work cross-functionally to drive ideas from conception to execution,
Develop marketing plans to drive awareness and adoption
Segment customers and developing business models, as well as
Deep dive into Amazon data
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 6 years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 6 years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
- 5 years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 5 years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
- 5 years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- Experience performing ad hoc analysis using advanced Excel
- Experience building and managing financial models for business forecasting and problem solving

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
