Key job responsibilities

• Drive planning and reporting mechanisms ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Collaborate with business and finance teams to identify opportunities for optimizing resource allocation and enhancing overall financial performance.
• Lead the automation of planning, reporting frameworks, and financial models, utilizing advanced technology to streamline processes and increase efficiency.
• Develop and implement strategies to balance short-term operational needs with long-term investment decisions, aligning with overall business objectives.
• Conduct regular reviews and analyses of key financial metrics, providing insights and recommendations to senior management for continuous improvement in resource management and decision-making.
  
  

A day in the life

• Start the day by reviewing key metrics and performance indicators.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and insights for ongoing inventory planning and optimization projects.
• Work closely with the finance team to automate reporting processes and develop dashboards for monitoring inventory performance.
• Engage in continuous learning and professional development activities to stay updated on industry trends and best practices in inventory management and cash flow optimization.
  
  

Basic Qualifications

• 5 years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA, or CPA
• Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
• Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
• Experience building and managing financial models for business forecasting and problem solving
• Experience performing ad hoc analysis using advanced Excel

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
