Key job responsibilities
As a Manufacturing Test Technician, you will be directly supporting the production assembly process while working with Test Engineer to identify, develop, and deploy methods to improve quality of production testing, reduce cost, and optimize the testing process. In addition to product test support, the candidate will also be cross trained in the vehicle assembly process for production support as needed.
Test support:
• Champion safety requirements in all designated zones and work locations
• Support / Execute vehicle testing as needed to ensure product functionality and conformity.
• Perform root cause analyses when non-conformances and escapes are identified and deploy corrective actions.
• Work with production and the operations teams to help execute production readiness and testing responsibilities, including the development of new testing methodologies.
• Monitor, identify, and improve factory test yields to reduce first pass failures.
• Coordinate equipment maintenance and repair services and make sure that manufacturer’s procedures and instructions are followed to keep production equipment operational.
• Analyze workflow, equipment placement, and space requirements to improve manufacturing efficiency.
• Identify and define modular test strategies and limit implementation, analyze new product testability and deliver test solutions to support the new product introduction processes. Prepare detailed test reports and communicate results to relevant stakeholders
Assembly Support:
• Support vehicle assembly process using hand tools to install parts and wiring while following detailed work instructions
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• High school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience
• 3 years relevant high traceability manufacturing experience (Aerospace, Medical or related field)
• Proficiency in complex scripting, database administration, and modeling, with working knowledge of Linux CLI, bash shell, and Python.
• Superior troubleshooting abilities with expertise in interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
• Proven expertise in business software applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) coupled with demonstrable technical writing and documentation skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience working in aerospace or a highly regulated industry.
• Aircraft & Powerplant (A&P) and/or Avionics certification/license
• Experience working with FOD and ESD sensitive hardware
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Demonstrated understanding in hardware manufacturing test environments, with strong capability to monitor products and analyze performance metrics while adhering to safety protocols and electrical principles.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $47,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $100,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
