DESCRIPTION
Amazon seeks a high-judgment, self-motivated, and highly organized public relations professional to join our Operations External Public Relations team to support planning, coordination, and media activity for global event programs for Amazon Operations.
This role is based in Amazon’s headquarters in Seattle, WA. To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, with a familiarity managing high-profile events. They also ideally will have a background in public relations and media relations, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively across multiple teams.
Key job responsibilities
• Build the framework for overall spatial/productions needs and guest flow/experience for high-caliber, international media events
• Support internal partners and their executive teams on preferred event build-out plans for keynotes, immersive experiences, etc.
• Oversee guest flow and experience, including coordination of travel and onsite logistics
• Work cross-functionally with multiple internal PR and business teams, including executive teams
• Develop and strengthen relationships with attending journalists to improve future event experiences
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 years of recent professional communications or public relations experience
- Bachelor's degree
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Experience working internationally, including with media across multiple regions
- Creative and entrepreneurial thinking
- Positive, can-do attitude
- Solid judgment, particularly in narrow time frames
- Ability to multitask and prioritize

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $68,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $147,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
