We’re seeking a Principal Technical Program Manager who is passionate about the customer's end-to-end shopping journey, leading our most strategic and complex technical programs through the entire software development life cycle. As a Principal Technical Program Manager, you will work across multiple organizations using agile methodologies to deliver delightful and innovative experiences for customers, ensuring high quality feature launches that meet organization-wide goals. You'll translate ambitious business vision into technical realities while mentoring other Technical Program Managers and setting program management standards across the organization.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $159,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $275,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. - Orchestrate complex technical decisions across multiple organizations, balancing speed, quality, and developer experience
- Mentor and guide high-performing engineering teams that consistently deliver exceptional results
- Transform high-level business strategies into clear, actionable technical roadmaps that inspire and align multiple organizations
- Navigate complex organizational dynamics to remove barriers and drive consensus
- Anticipate and mitigate risks before they impact deliverables through strategic planning and proactive problem-solving
- Mentor other Technical Program Managers while establishing program management standards
- Drive architectural and integration decisions that balance immediate needs with long-term technical vision
- 7 years of technical product or program management experience
- 10 years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 5 years of software development experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- 8 years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience
