We are looking for a passionate Principal Technical Program Manager (TPM) to improve the shopper experience and interaction with ads on some of the most popular pages on the internet! Come join the Stores Monetization Science & technical program management team to improve both monetization and the shopper experience of Advertising across Amazon’s Store, with millions of customers around the world on every device imaginable. Reinvent the customer experience and accelerate ads innovation. With an interesting and diverse backlog, your experience managing complex programs will be essential as you engage with many different teams in order to remove friction during planning and delivery. From the inception of an idea, you are involved in gathering requirements, shaping the vision, and setting the team up for successful delivery. As a Principal TPM you are also a key decision maker for Ads Science. You will establish launch timelines, make decisions to optimize trade-offs, and manage expectations with external stakeholders. The scope and scale of our work often comes with a high degree of ambiguity. You will need to balance customer needs with technical constraints and anticipate the bottlenecks that may emerge along the way. The ideal candidate values autonomy and learns enthusiastically. They will be comfortable making decisions – big and small. This candidate will also be very organized and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. The ideal candidate will have experience leading cross-functional teams, including data engineers, data scientists, and machine learning experts, in the successful delivery of complex data-driven solutions.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $159,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $275,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. - 7 years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 7 years of technical product or program management experience
- 5 years of software development experience
- Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- 8 years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
