Key job responsibilities
Prime Air is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Shift Lead/Problem Solver, a key position within our innovative drone delivery hub operations. This role is essential for maintaining the highest levels of efficiency and operational excellence. The Shift Lead/Problem Solver plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations across all shifts by strategically assigning staff, balancing workloads, and planning break rotations meticulously. Beyond leading shifts, this individual is entrusted with the critical responsibility of addressing and resolving complex operational challenges, either through direct intervention or by guiding teams towards effective solutions.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and ensure the effective and efficient operation of drone delivery hub operations during their shift, maintain the highest standards of service and operational excellence.
• Allocate staff to tasks based on their qualifications, experience, and shift requirements to optimize productivity and service quality.
• Monitor and adjust workloads across the team to ensure equitable task distribution and address potential bottlenecks or overload situations.
• Acts as the primary problem solver, addressing and resolving issues as they arise, or delegating and guiding team members.
• Primary point of contact for the escalation and resolution of complex issues, employing a strategic approach to problem-solving that minimizes impact on service delivery.
• Identify opportunities for operational improvements and collaborate with management and other departments to implement effective solutions.
• Ensure effective communication within the team and across the organization.
• Understand capacity and hours-management and can drive an effective and efficient operation to meet goals.
• Participates in stand-ups and review meetings with the team.
• Holds strong written and verbal communication skills, and a diversity of experience internal and/or external to Amazon that aids them in Thinking Big.
Export Control License
This position may require a deemed export control license for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Placement is contingent on Amazon’s ability to apply for and obtain an export control license on your behalf.
This position may be subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) drug and alcohol testing. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Basic qualifications
• Current Part 107 certificate holder
• Current Third-Class medical certificate
• Ability to carry/lift up to 50 lbs., stand / walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend and reach.
• Minimum 3 months experience in aviation industry or another regulated environment
• Candidates must be flexible to work a variety of hours as business demands, including overnight, weekends and holidays.
