Amazon’s Reliability and Maintenance Engineering Global Talent Development (RME GTD) Team is currently seeking an experienced and highly collaborative project management professional who will lead the RME organization in technical upskilling and drive downtime reduction. This role is responsible for building the strategy and delivering programs that upskill the North America RME technical workforce. This includes leading a team of program managers to develop scalable programs that utilize in-house technical training programs and vendor training programs to drive high impact results that reduces technician error downtime events. As well as anticipating future training needs and delivering initiatives that support the technician of tomorrow.
The Manager needs to have an expert level understanding in network data, and must be able to analyze massive amounts of information and take into account environmental variables (such as technician tenure, attrition, geographies, launch/legacy sites, etc.) to truly understand the network knowledge gaps. This position also requires a strong delivery record and proven program management experience to utilize the data and own strategic, tactical, cross-functional and learning projects and programs. This is a leadership position and the Manager must have leadership experience of managing teams, holding accountability, reporting on business metrics and initiatives, and fostering innovative ideas. The role requires up to 20% travel.

The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Key job responsibilities
- Partner with Strategic Business Partners from each RME Business Unit and key central teams, including Finance, Employee Relations, Talent Acquisition, and Workforce Staffing (WFS), to execute key deliverables effectively.
- Utilize data-driven analysis to develop and drive a strategic vision for automation training programs that align with business goals and emerging automation technologies.
- Design and implement scalable foundational and upskilling training content in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external third-party providers to support rapid automation expansion within the RME network.
- Standardize training processes, frameworks, and best practices to ensure consistency and scalability across multiple sites while continuously assessing industry trends and emerging automation technologies to enhance training programs.
- Establish mechanisms to track progress toward goals, ensuring alignment with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and strategic objectives set by Global Talent & Development, RME Field, and Finance.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to senior leadership (up to 2 levels) to communicate program impact, training effectiveness, and strategic initiatives, while providing data-driven insights and recommendations on automation workforce development.
- Continuously evaluate the success of training initiatives and adjust strategies based on data insights.
- Leverage analytics and performance data to refine training programs, address skill gaps, and utilize a metrics-driven approach to optimize learning solutions for measurable business impact.
- Guide peers and junior team members in best practices for training development, delivery, and process standardization while acting as a thought leader within the team, driving innovation and improvements in learning methodologies.
- Navigate ambiguity by identifying opportunities, building frameworks, and driving structured solutions while adapting training strategies to evolving business needs and technological advancements.

Basic Qualifications
- 5 years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
- 3 years of experience in an Automation Solutions Engineer or similar role
- 2 years of driving process improvements experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or other related engineering field OR 5 years of equivalent professional experience
