DESCRIPTION
Amazon.com is seeking a Sr. Finance Analyst to be a key business partner with Amazon's Digital Video Insights, Planning and Analytics team. Primary responsibilities will include, partnering with finance partners globally to streamline effective communication, forecasting, and variance commentary across the business. Drive financial analysis, prepare reports for senior management, develop performance tracking metrics, drive planning and budgeting discipline and deliverables, and ensure financial discipline and compliance. This is a highly visible role within Digital Video and a great opportunity for candidates looking for a challenge and a place to shine.
The right individual will have exceptional financial modeling skills, strong communication skills, and solid business acumen. He or she will have operated successfully in a fast-paced, global, results-oriented environment, and possess effective verbal and written communication, and logical reasoning. The successful candidate must be able to think and act both strategically and tactically and manage multiple competing priorities effectively. Ideal candidates will have a proven track record of superior financial and strategic analysis and developing/delivering recommendations based on this analysis. This person must thrive in a fast-paced environment.
This position is available in Seattle, WA, or Los Angeles, CA.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field
- 3 years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 2 years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
- 2 years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 4 years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of Tableau
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
