Are you ready to get in on the ground floor of Amazon’s long-term initiative to design, launch and maintain a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites to provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world?
It’s Day 1 for Amazon’s next billion dollar business and we are looking for an entrepreneurial minded Financial Analyst to work in a start-up environment who is passionate about technology, is interested in analyzing new business opportunities, who thinks/acts globally, and has the ability to create and implement solutions to business questions.
The successful candidate will entrepreneurial by nature, a strategic thinker, analytical in approach, have a demonstrated ability to develop financial models that provide intelligence for business decisions. This role requires a self-starter with superb business modeling skills, a keen attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The candidate must have the aptitude to incorporate new approaches and methodologies (including statistical concepts) while dealing with big data and be able to develop and define key business questions and to build data sets that answer those questions.
An additional location for this role includes Amazon offices located in Redmond WA.
Key job responsibilities
Create and implement financial and operating performance metrics, identifying key call outs and drivers to senior management
Develop financial benchmarking analysis of key competitors
Maintain long range financial models to project and evaluate business performance against key goals and metrics
Create and implement revenue and cost models models to be incorporated into business reviews
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3 years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Bachelor's degree in business economics, engineering, analytics, mathematics, statistics, information technology or equivalent
- Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in the Satellite or Telecommunications Sector.
