DESCRIPTION
Amazon is seeking a Senior Indirect Tax Manager, to join the Tax team based in Seattle, to support the Amazon (Stores) business.
The candidate will primarily focus on Indirect tax matters but also have an awareness of Corporate tax, withholding tax and transfer pricing matters.
Key job responsibilities
- Working on VAT matters that impact the Stores business
- Collaborating with cross functional teams (Business Partners/ Global tax teams and other stakeholders) to ensure tax considerations are incorporated into new business decisions, expansions into new markets, new product offerings or restructuring of operations, providing practical solutions that align to company’s strategy and vision.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 12 years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Experience in taxation in a corporate environment, public accounting firm or major law firm
- Experience managing other employees and leading international tax team through hiring and development
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working effectively across cross-functional teams and partner well with people at all levels within an organization, including coaching of junior staff
- Experience with accounting concepts and tax regulations, laws and standards
- Experience with tax modeling in Excel-based models or other similar programs

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $151,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $225,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
