Key job responsibilities
As a Sr. PCB Layout Engineer, you will participate in the definition and implementation of multiple spacecraft subsystems. You will contribute in all phases of PCB design and production. You must bring a combination of PCB design, fabrication, assembly, and test knowledge to a highly collaborative cross team functional team.

The base pay for this position ranges from $128,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $213,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. - Work with the Electrical and Mechanical Engineers to ensure the design meets all requirements from an electrical performance and mechanical enclosure perspective.
- Create all documentation packages required to fabricate and assemble the PCB/PCBA.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 7 years experience of PCB layout design using industry standard PCB design suites.
- 5 years experience with high speed circuits.
- 5 years experience managing multiple projects in parallel.
- 10 years experience of PCB layout design using industry standard PCB design suites.
- Experience with using Cadence Allegro in developing and design for manufacturing of PCBs deployed in space environments.
- Experience with high current density designs.
- Experience managing 3rd party layout services.
- Knowledge of PCB failure modes and reliability in extreme environments.
- Experience as a technical lead for small teams of PCB design engineers.
- Experience developing IPC class 2 and 3 boards.
- Ability to collaborate with cross functional technical teams.
- Ability to participate in schematic and design reviews.
