DESCRIPTION
We are seeking an entrepreneurial leader who is passionate about products, brands, and food to join our Amazon Fresh Private Brands (AFPB) team as a Senior Product Manager. You will drive the long-term strategy and development of our private brand food products, working cross-functionally to identify customer needs, develop innovative concepts, and bring them to market while meeting Amazon's high standards for quality and value. This role requires the ability to navigate complex, ambiguous situations and make high-impact decisions that significantly influence AFPB's business outcomes.
The ideal candidate is customer-obsessed, growth-minded, comfortable with ambiguity, and excels in both strategic thinking and tactical execution.
Key job responsibilities
•Product Strategy and Vision: Develop and communicate a long-term vision for AFPB's product portfolio
• Analyze category market trends, customer behavior, and competitive landscape
• Create and own a comprehensive roadmap of Private Branded food products, identifying opportunities for new products or improvements
2. Product Management:
• Lead complex, high-impact projects (new product development, relaunches, and product changes) from ideation to launch, serving as the primary decision-maker
• Develop business cases, product briefs, creative briefs, and artwork with technical cross-functional experts
• Coordinate and influence cross-functional teams including culinary, commercialization, business, category, legal, creative, and marketing
• Ensure alignment with AFPB quality standards and value proposition
3. Commercialization and Launch Management:
• Own the end-to-end product development process
• Manage risks and resolve complex issues throughout the project lifecycle
• Drive strategic alignment with AFPB marketing, supply chain, and category teams on launch strategies and product placement
4. Leadership and Organizational Impact:
• Mentor and develop peers
• Foster a culture of innovation, customer obsession, and data-driven decision-making across the organization
• Collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders across the organization, influencing without direct authority
• Contribute to making AFPB a Great Place to Work
5. Business Performance and Quality Assurance:
• Track and report on key business metrics (e.g. revenue, star ratings) in the immediate post-launch period
• Analyze product performance data and customer feedback to inform continuous improvement efforts

About the team
The Amazon Fresh Private Brands team is made up of functions including Product, Marketing, Product Quality, Supply Chain, and Strategy & Scaling. Product team members are responsible for commercializing food products through the commercialization process, leaning on our key stakeholder teams to ensure we build customer-loved products.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 5 years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Proven track record of successfully launching and managing multiple product lines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use data to drive decisions
- Proven track record of influencing across and upwards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- MBA
- Experience in the food and grocery industry
- Experience with Amazon's internal tools and systems
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and execute tactically in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with product development best practices

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $124,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Salary : $124,500 - $206,000
