Come join the AWS Fraud Prevention team as the Senior Product Manager - Technical who will lead our automation strategy to prevent fraud and abuse on AWS, the largest public cloud provider in the world.
We are seeking a results-oriented product leader who will be the single-threaded owner for AWS Fraud Prevention’s automation strategy. You will drive the vision and execution of automated solutions (GenAI and traditional ML) that protect AWS services while ensuring legitimate customers maintain a seamless experience. You understand the systems and technologies behind your product, their limitations, scaling factors, boundary conditions, and reasons for architectural decisions. You are a simplifier. The ideal candidate combines strong technical understanding with product management expertise, can influence across organizations, and has a proven track record of delivering automated solutions at scale.
Key job responsibilities
Strategy & Leadership:
- Serve as the single-threaded owner for AWS Fraud Prevention’s automation strategy
- Define and execute the long-term automation roadmap across science and engineering teams
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to identify and prioritize automation opportunities
Process Automation:
- Drive automation initiatives that reduce manual workload for fraud investigators, data scientists, and developers
- Design and implement automated workflows that increase team efficiency
- Identify bottlenecks in current processes and architect automated solutions
Fraud Detection & Decision Automation:
- Lead the development of automated fraud detection and decisioning systems
- Partner with service teams to implement automated fraud prevention strategies
- Define and track metrics for automated fraud detection effectiveness
AI/ML Integration:
- Identify opportunities to leverage GenAI and traditional ML techniques in fraud prevention
- Work with data science teams to develop and implement ML-based automation solutions
- Stay current with emerging AI/ML technologies and evaluate their potential for fraud prevention
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience managing technical products or online services
- Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight
- Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
