Job Summary
Amazon Robotics is seeking a talented System Development Engineer to design and develop controls for robotics systems and industrial automation equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience with systems engineering fundamentals, programming languages, and electrical control systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop controls code utilizing structured text and ladder-logic on Codesys and RSLogix 5000 platforms
- Identify and implement system optimizations
- Debug internal and field issues; develop tools and best practices for system monitoring and troubleshooting
- Mentor and develop junior engineers in design and development best practices
- Contribute to value engineering of the systems electrical and controls hardware components
Requirements
- 1 years of designing or architecting systems experience
- Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems)
- Experience programming with at least one modern language
- BS / MS Electrical Engineering (or similar field)
- Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs, Siemens PLCs, and/or Soft PLCs/IPCs
- 6 years of experience in electrical control systems
- Demonstrated experience with IEC standards for electrical controls for robotics
- Demonstrated experience with Functional Safety standards
