The right candidate will be a strategic and results-driven business development leader with a proven track record leading teams in developing complex partnerships. This entrepreneurial leader will build and manage a global team focused on identifying, negotiating, and closing strategic partnerships that drive significant revenue growth and product adoption for Amazon Ads. You possess exceptional relationship-building skills and are apt to see mutually beneficial opportunities with partners in order to best represent our customers, our brands and our advertising products. The right person will manage the new business from end-to-end, including understanding market dynamics, evaluating new partnership opportunities, conducting partner outreach, negotiating term sheets and agreements and driving to execution. You are a role model for best practices for incubating new partnerships, diving deep into partners’ tech products, and improving partner performance. Your success will require close collaboration with internal cross-functional teams including Product and Tech on new product innovation designed to help brands unlock better outcomes. You demonstrate the ability to think strategically about issues, identify trends and effectively influence internal stakeholders such as Finance and Legal by earning trust and being right a lot.
Key job responsibilities
• Build and lead a high-performing global partnerships team from the ground up
• Identify and prioritize partnership opportunities with major impact potential
• Drive end-to-end partnership lifecycle from sourcing to closing to implementation
• Develop and execute partnership strategies aligned with Amazon Ads' business objectives
• Create compelling business cases and secure executive buy-in for strategic initiatives
• Establish processes and frameworks for evaluating partnership opportunities
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Sales, Marketing, Legal, and Finance teams
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 10 years of building and leading large teams and working in matrixed operating structures experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience working and communicating with multiple stakeholders, C-level executives and cross functional teams or equivalent
- Experience in strategic thinking about business, enterprise software products, and new technology platforms and architectures or equivalent
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 years of managing and developing high performance teams experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $174,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $288,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
