DESCRIPTION
The Brand Experience and Excellence organization creates, builds and leads innovation for brand owners on Amazon worldwide. The Customer Acquisition and Loyalty team in this organization focuses on helping Brands engage Customers on and off Amazon, develop a winning strategy for Brands to leverage social media to build stronger brands, and launch great products that resonate with Customers and achieve success.
We are looking for a Sr. Manager, Product Management Tech, to drive our strategy to acquire off Amazon Customers and convert them into loyal Brand customers. Main duties include: (1) Define the long-term strategic product strategy, (2) Own the business P&L, (3) Collaborate with science, data and engineering teams across Amazon to deliver investments that are durable in time, (4) Manage expansion and evolution of systems that support your business, (5) Leverage your technical depth to propose simple solutions to complex problems. (6) Directly manage a diverse team of Product Managers, Business Analysts and Program Managers.
As a product leader on this charter, you are someone who is as comfortable working closely with tech teams as you are running business reviews. As a newly formed team, you should have experience in building mechanisms and processes ground up, are very good with written and verbal communication skills, and are willing to roll up sleeves and drive results. You must have sound business judgment and the ability to think strategically with a long-term vision, while being able to execute on tactical details as the team forms. The pay-off is high ownership, an ability to deliver Amazon wide impact, face time with cross-Amazon verticals and senior leadership team, variety of work, and the ability to grow rapidly in the role.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 6 years of team management experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience delivering consumer software products and services in a high growth environment
