DESCRIPTION
Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Project Kuiper will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.
As a Sr. Technical Product Manager for Integration on the Project Kuiper team, you will create and drive the product strategy, vision, and technology roadmap for mobility products for aviation, land mobility and maritime including the customer terminal, connectivity, power, and system software. This role focuses on integrating satellite connectivity with onboard systems to deliver seamless customer experience and mobility operations. This role is inherently cross-functional - you will work closely with engineering, design, operations, finance, and executive teams to envision, develop, and launch innovative products and services.
A successful candidate will be both creative and highly analytical, able to work extremely effectively in a matrix organization, and adept at synthesizing a variety of technologies and capabilities into products and applications that customers love. We are looking for someone customer obsessed and technology savvy – with a proven track record of delivering successful communication products and services in multiple technology verticals. Key job responsibilities
Product Manage the entire product line life cycle from inception to launch
Understand and articulate customer needs, conduct on-going customer research, leverage internal knowledge and expertise, and prioritize feature requirements.
Be a passionate advocate for the customer; provide the voice of the customer
Inspire the team with the product vision, and work cross-functionally to bring the product to life working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders.
Write detailed market and technical product integration requirements documents and define use cases, features, and KPIs and drive tradeoff discussions and decisions with the engineering development teams
Define all interface requirements for seemless integration of product , working with customers , internal teams and 3rd party service providers.
Manage launch of products and services for both hardware and software.
Export Control Requirement:
This position may require access to information, technology, or hardware that is subject to export control laws and regulations, including the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). About the team
You will be joining a highly technical product management team that is focused on defining and driving the product requirements for all of the customer facing hardware, software and systems for the Kuiper mobility solution.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent technical work experience plus an MBA or 4 years demonstrated business leadership experience
- 5 years of experience in product management, systems engineering, IC design, hardware, embedded software or applications engineering
- 5 years of experience developing or managing complex devices
- 5 years of experience with end-to-end product delivery of complex products working with multiple partners
- 2 years of experience overseeing roadmap strategy and definition
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors/Masters/PhD in EE/Comp Sc./Wireless Communications Systems
- In-depth knowledge of product life cycle from prototype, assembly, certification, launch, and maintenance for linefit and retrofit across mobility industry
- 5 years of experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs for a complex systems or wireless communications product
- 5 years of progressive experience in engineering followed by product management role is preferred.
- Experience working with OEMs and delivering complete solution for systems, repair/logistics, help desk, and software/network feature development / prioritization

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
