Key job responsibilities :
- Provide expertise on grid transmission and distribution concepts to guide software product development.
- Lead market and industry research to understand the state-of-art, and recommend innovative solutions to challenges facing the electric utility industry.
- Collaborate with software developers, product managers, and UX designers to identify the right customers' problems and to help design solutions.
- Assist in creating use cases and test scenarios that reflect real-world grid management situations.
- Collaborate with product leads to translate complex utility industry requirements into implementable solutions.
- Review and validate software solutions from a utility industry perspective.
- Contribute to the development of algorithms for power flow analysis, fault detection, and grid stability calculations.
- Advise on data models and structures that accurately represent grid components and their relationships.
- Provide insights on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes that may impact product development.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $138,200 / year in our lowest geographic market up to $239,000 / year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and / or other benefits.
