DESCRIPTION
The AWS Monetization Incubation team is seeking a Technical Program Manager obsessed with improving AWS Billing processes and customer experience. You will lead discussions with service, engineering, and product teams for new AWS service, product, and bespoke private contract launches. In this role, you will evaluate billing requirements, evaluate automation feasibility to ensure error-free processes, and work towards providing a world-class experience to our customers. You will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between accelerating new service billing process launches with technological capabilities. You will be building and executing a plan to identify ineffective manual processes and use billing and commerce platforms while staying customer obsessed as they enhance our best-in-class system, which allows customers to have an accurate and compliant, billing and payment experience. You will influence a suite of products and data service, and will lead solutions with their teams. They will influence cross functional teams including but not limited to engineering, sales, finance and legal.
Key job responsibilities
In this role, you will lead new product and service launches across AWS, helping to define the next generation of billing, payments, and cost management processes. These include:
* Developing and executing the overarching strategy for automating new AWS products and services, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
* Leading cross-functional teams, including product owners, operations, and engineering, to drive automation initiatives and establish key performance indicators for launch success.
* Providing executive-level guidance on billing accuracy and risk mitigation strategies for high-impact product launches.
* Leveraging deep technical expertise and industry knowledge to influence product roadmaps and drive innovation in billing and cost management solutions.
* Drive process optimization, balancing technology use, customer experience, and business flexibility
* Navigating complex, ambiguous challenges to deliver transformative solutions that align with AWS's long-term vision.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 years of technical product or program management experience
- 7 years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 3 years of software development experience
- 5 years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
