Amazon Security is looking for a passionate, innovative, data driven, analytical, results-oriented technical program manager to support a critical security program with scope spanning across the business.

This role is for a dynamic leader with a strong technical background in program management and software development. You will help define and own the delivery of high-visibility software programs, you will build and implement a strategy to meet critical Amazon business and security needs, and you will provide regular updates to senior organizational leaders. This is a dynamic, intellectually challenging position, and you’ll work with thought leaders in multiple technology areas. You’ll have high standards for yourself and everyone you work with, and you’ll be constantly looking for ways to improve your product’s performance, quality, and end-user experience.
This position can be located in Herndon, VA
Key job responsibilities
- Own successful delivery of impactful and highly cross-functional programs
- Scope, plan, implement, and deliver programs while collaborating with AWS leadership and service teams to align on strategic vision and goals
- Establish metrics and regular reporting mechanisms for measuring project success criteria, and support deep dive assessments
- Communicate plans, status, and critical issues clearly and effectively to executive leadership.
- Ensure customer data is handled with sensitivity and confidentiality
- Ability to travel periodically, as needed

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 years of technical product or program management experience
- 7 years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 3 years of software development experience
- 5 years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
