DESCRIPTION
Blink is the result of one of the most successful Kickstarter campaigns ever, growing the business at an astounding rate since the first product introduction in 2016. Blink products are based around SoCs designed by our in-house ASIC team, keeping us at the forefront of the consumer camera based home security market. We are seeking the right Sr. TPM to join our team and continue this streak. Come and help us design and develop future generations of Blink consumer products that will delight customers and drive our continued growth in battery and wired cameras.
Key job responsibilities
As a Sr. Technical Program Manager, you will scope, plan and deliver projects that make up the foundation of the Blink family of products and services. You will be working with a talented team of engineers and product and program managers, strategically managing project implementations from development stage to mass production. You will complete high-quality programs on time, while motivating team members and driving continuous improvement throughout the process.
- Drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration and commitment across groups with varied priorities.
- Create, maintain and disseminate project and program information to local and remote stakeholders.
- Define and track priorities and critical tasks, organize and run program and review meetings.
- Proactively manage risks and ensure dependencies have a clear path to successfully deliver on expectations.
About the team
The TPM team scopes, plans, and delivers projects that contribute directly to the Blink family of products and services. A typical product requires cross functional contributions from several engineering teams. The team works closely with product marketing / management to ensure that program requirements are communicated, understood and met at all levels. Scope is wide and visibility of the team is high as we manage programs from ideation to mass production.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 7 years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 5 years of technical product or program management experience
- 3 years of software development experience
- 5 years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience leading highly technical programs involving infrastructure, complex systems, systems engineering
- 3 years experience in a hardware product development environment
