Amazon’s Consumer Reliability & Response Engineering PMO is a team of TPMs and PMTs which drive end-to-end programs and best practices across the entire retail organization to increase availability, reduce risks and improve engineering excellence.
Billions of transactions and dollars. Hundreds of millions of retail shoppers. Many millions of dollars. Petabytes of data. Tens of thousands of software teams and services. Hundreds of SVPs, VPs, and Directors across Amazon... This is some of the scope of the types of programs and products our team gets to influence and lead. We provide technical solutions, processes, best practices and guidance for engineering teams to ensure retail customers have the best possible experience. We also prepare, execute and evaluate the engineering efforts related to Amazon’s largest retail events (Prime Day, Black Friday, Cyber Monday).
As a TPM on this team, you will own short-term (< 1 year) and long-term (3 year) vision for your programs, influence how the team operates and determine the most important new programs to initiate. You will define, scope and execute multiple simultaneous end-to-end programs based on data-driven analysis, collection of business/system requirements and creation of software architecture specifications. You will raise the bar for engineering excellence by assessing, improving and automating existing programs, tools, processes and operations. You will force-multiply your impact by introducing programs focused on improving software availability/reliability, process automation, major retail event execution, effort reduction and cost reduction across thousands of service teams and engineers.
Your ability to work independently, address ambiguity, manage dependencies, communicate effectively, and dive deep into technical details is essential. Successful candidates will be able to balance think big with realism, deliver achievable software plans, while communicating progress to executive audiences.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. About The Team

Basic Qualifications
- 5 years of technical product or program management experience
- 7 years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 3 years of software development experience
- 5 years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- 5 years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
