Amazon is seeking an experienced Sr. Technical Program Manager to create the future of productivity applications at Amazon.
As a Sr. Technical Program Manager (TPM) in the Enterprise Service Delivery (ESD) organization, your responsibilities will focus on driving software and automation initiatives enabling our partner teams to integrate and operate a unified, delightful experience for our customers. Enterprise Service Delivery owns the productivity application experience across Amazon. We support, extend, and integrate productivity applications to ensure they meet the needs of every Amazonian, at the unique scale and speed Amazonians require. We reach every area across Amazon and are part of building every feature and service that delights our customers.
Key job responsibilities
- Ownership of highly visible, complex, cross-functional projects, including product definition, roadmap planning, and project tracking.
- Partnering with teams across the organization, aligning dependencies and priorities and driving completion to meet commitments.
- Hosting meetings to assemble the right people to achieve program goals.
- Writing concise, clear, data-driven narratives and status reports, and summaries for leadership at different levels.
A day in the life
Senior TPMs use their experience and judgement to translate customer needs into actionable plans. They use a combination of messaging and realtime interaction to keep programs moving forward predictably, and ensure potential blockers are surfaced early and driven to closure, escalating to leadership when needed.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 years of technical product or program management experience
- 7 years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 3 years of software development experience
- 5 years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
