Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Project Kuiper will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.
The Kuiper Global Capacity Planning team owns designing, implementing, and operating systems that support the planning, management, and optimization of Kuiper network resources worldwide. We are looking for a talented technical program manager to lead the process for inventory planning and optimization. This effort will be instrumental in helping Kuiper execute on its business plans globally. Key job responsibilities
In this role, you will:
• Own the monthly processes to generate the Kuiper capacity inventory plan.
• Design mechanisms to ensure long-term product and business success across all CPLM product lines.
• Move fast, innovate, and find ways to simplify the inventory planning and product development process.
• Work closely with Scientists, Engineers, Business Intelligence and Data Engineers to deliver your vision.
• Define business and systems requirements working with internal customers.
• Create effective ways of measuring the performance of your solutions and surface new opportunities for improvement.
• Own and drive strategic communications with senior leaders and executives.
Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 years of technical product or program management experience
- 3 years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 3 years of software development experience
- 3 years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
