Amazon Security's VMR Insights and Enablement team is looking for a Sr. Technical Program Manager to join our Security Issue Management team.

Key job responsibilities
- Drive efficient execution and implementation of Amazon Store’s vulnerability management program, focusing on automation initiatives, detection capabilities, and remediation workflows
- Identify and resolve program bottlenecks through data analysis and stakeholder feedback, implementing solutions to improve overall program effectiveness
- Design and implement program frameworks that enable streamlined vulnerability management, working closely with engineering teams to develop scalable detection solutions for host and container security
- Lead the development and operationalization of key team initiatives, such as custom detection platform, metrics dashboards, and third-party software vulnerability management solutions
- Partner with Security Engineers to translate operational requirements into technical specifications, ensuring solutions meet security objectives while maintaining operational efficiency
- Build and maintain strong relationships with development teams, security partners, and operational stakeholders to drive program adoption and success
- Develop and track program metrics and KPIs to measure effectiveness, demonstrate business value, and identify improvements
- Drive regular program reviews and status updates with relevant stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of progress, risks, and mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with senior technical leaders to ensure program alignment with broader security objectives and architectural standards
- Manage multiple parallel workstreams while maintaining high standards for program delivery and technical excellence

A day in the life
- Leading the morning stand-up with security engineers working on custom detection platform development, reviewing progress and addressing any blockers
- Analyzing the latest vulnerability metrics dashboards to identify trends and areas needing attention, preparing insights that you will present to senior information security leadership in a coming review
- Coordinating with TPM peers on the team to ensure alignment between host and container security initiatives
- Reviewing and providing feedback on technical specifications for new security tooling
- Running a working session with engineering teams to improve the contextualization methodology and process for high-severity vulnerabilities

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 6 years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
- Experience building and evaluating system-level technical design
- Understanding of SDLC and Architecture System Design with the ability to ensure functionality and tradeoffs in terms of scalability, maintainability, extensibility, performance, and security.
- Experience working within a security organization

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience working directly within Vulnerability Management and Remediation
