Are you interested in building the infrastructure and scaling the FireTV Third Party business by 100x fold? We are looking for exceptional talent to join as System Development Engineer in the Fire TV team, to build and scale the next generation infrastructure in order to meet the business need of scaling by 100x fold.
Our team's charter is to provide customers and partners a scalable and efficient build and release experience, where internal and external customers could continuously build, integrate, validate, and release software at the maximum speed and quality to unleash the growth potential of the FireTV 3p business.
As a member of the team, you will be working with business partners, senior system developer, senior and principal engineers, and QAs, implement, test, launch, document, and maintain scalable build and release systems. You will have significant influence on our overall strategy by helping define the ystem features, drive the architecture, and spearhead the best practices that enable a quality and scalable solution. You will learn a variety of cutting-edge technologies, development and integration processes, and develop well-rounded skills such as leadership, and effective project management. You will also mentor junior engineers.
Key job responsibilities
In this role, you will
- Design, develop, implement, test, and document source code management, build and release systems, tools, and services, for FireTV 3p products.
- Translate functional requirements into robust, efficient, supportable solutions that work well within the overall system architecture.
- Evaluate and make decisions around the use of new or existing software products and tools.
- Mentor junior engineers.
About the team
FireTV 3P engineering team is chartered to bring enchanting FireTV experiences to third party devices. This is an opportunity to design, develop and own the software that disrupts TV viewing experience and impact billions of viewers and devices.
We are spinning up a greenfield engineering team to build tools and technologies which will redefine the way 3P partners build their TVs on FireTV ecosystem. With exciting roadmap and launches planned ahead. FireTV 3P engineering team will independently own, deliver and support end to end product journey for partners.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C , C#, Rust
- Experience with Linux/Unix
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes
- Hands on experience with Gerrit, Jenkins, Jira systems, and build scripts.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with distributed systems at scale
- Knowledge and Experience building and releasing AOSP based products

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $116,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $201,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
