Job Summary
Amazon Services is looking for a talented and passionate User Experience Designer to join our WebStore business team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing innovative and intuitive web applications that empower retailers and manufacturers to sell their products seamlessly across various channels. Your work will directly impact the user experience of thousands of businesses, optimizing their ecommerce operations with the support of Amazon's technology and expertise.
Responsibilities
• Quickly create process flows, wireframes, and visual design mockups to conceptualize interaction behaviors effectively.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define business requirements using data, usability findings, market research, and UCD principles.
• Evaluate and enhance feature performance through usability testing and analytics interpretation using Omniture SiteCatalyst.
• Present design work to internal teams and executives for feedback.
• Contribute to UI design best practices and standards.
• Lead in ecommerce trends, web app design, and UI innovations.
Skills
• 3-6 years of industry experience in providing interaction design solutions for web/software applications.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in design, HCI, or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in web-based information architecture, usability principles, and design tools like Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.
• Strong online portfolio showcasing user-centered design solutions.
Qualifications
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex design concepts clearly.
• Detail-oriented self-starter with a customer-centric approach.
• Experience working in agile environments with technical teams on multiple projects.
• Proficiency in HTML, JavaScript, CSS or Flash prototyping is a plus.
